A delegation from the Tangiers City Council, headed by its president Mr. Mounir Laymouri, commended on Saturday in Rabat the field action conducted by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency in the holy city, under the aegis of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al Quds Committee.
Speaking during a visit by the Council delegation at the Agency head office, the city council president stresses that Moroccans, and the Arab and Islamic world take pride in the Agency for its action to support the resistance of Al Quds inhabitants and preserve the city’s civilization, reiterating the Council’s commitment to finance the Agency’s projects and programs as part of the bilateral partnership agreement, adopted by the Council’s ordinary session of October 2022.
The acting Director of the Agency, Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, welcomed the Tangiers city council delegation and congratulated them, together with all the Moroccans, be they fighters, Ulemas or pilgrims, for their honorable presence in the holy city for over 1000 years.
The acting Director of the Agency presented to the delegation some of the Agency’s actions, worth 250,000 dollars, in the holy city during the holy month, in social events and social and human assistance.
Mr. Ismail Erramli, coordinator of the Agency’s projects in Al Quds, presented by video-conference from Al Quds, the Agency’s methodology in the city and its programs for the current year in priority social sectors.
He noted, in this context, the dynamic presence of the Agency in Al Quds, thanks to the care granted by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the institution and to the perseverance, laboriousness and endurance in overcoming the difficulties, including the limited funds.
During their visit, the Tangiers city council delegation toured the exhibition, “Poetry in the colors of Al Quds : Poetic drama by the brushes of plastic artists”, held in partnership with the Moroccan Union of Professional plastic artists and “Bayt Achiir” institution in Morocco.
They also toured the permanent exhibition of Palestinian legacy and arts, featuring samples of Palestinian items from Al Quds, that the Agency is selling through the Dlala electronic platform for social and community trade.
The delegation then watched a short movie on the celebrations held by the Agency, under the aegis of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al Quds Committee, may God protect him.
