The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has underlined once again the importance of Al Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in confronting the dangerous policies implemented by the Israeli occupation authorities in Al Quds Asharif to alter the identity and legal status, as well as the demographic, cultural and historic structure of the city.
In a communiqué released at the end of the open-ended extraordinary meeting of the OIC executive committee held on Wednesday at the Organization’s head office in Jeddah on Israel’s repeated assaults on the blessed Al Aqsa mosque, the Organization praised the role assumed by Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency.
The communiqué also underscored that the department of Al Quds endowments (Awqaf) and the affairs of Al Aqsa of the Jordanian ministry of endowments and Islamic affairs is the sole legal authority competent to manage all the affairs of the Temple Mount and organize admissions, reiterating the sovereignty of the State of Palestine over the Occupied East Al Quds. It also affirmed that Israel has no right or sovereignty whatsoever on the occupied city and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
