A group of Palestinian journalists and content-makers from Al Quds wrapped on Thursday (June 22, 2023) their visit to the Kingdom of Morocco where they toured the cities of Rabat, Tangiers, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Larache and Casablanca and held a series of meetings with journalists at “Bayt Assahafa” (press house) in Tangiers and other Moroccan journalists from various international outlets accredited in Morocco.
The Palestinian media delegation visited Tangiers big stadium and attended a football match between the local team and “Difaa Hassani Jadidi”. They also toured the Tangier-Atlantic port, one of the largest sea facilities in Africa, and got informed about a part of the Kingdom’s history in the historical monuments of Tangiers and Larache as well as in the old towns of Tetouan and Chefchaouen.
During their meetings at Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad, the delegation expressed their esteem for the role played by the Kingdom of Morocco to support the Palestinian cause and the special place held by Moroccans in Al Quds.
During their participation last Tuesday in the Conference on “the role of the media in supporting the civilizational identity of Al Quds Asharif”, they also underscored the important role played by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al Quds Committee, in the holy city and its field action meant to preserve the civilizational identity of Al Quds Asharif.
They also welcomed the major development strides going on in Morocco as they could see first-hand in the industrial zones they visited, including the Med Park industrial free zone in Casablanca.
The members of the Palestinian delegation said they have met with lay people in the streets and found out how Al Quds and Palestine have a special place in their heart. They also tasted Moroccan cuisine and were impressed with the cities’ cleanliness, the infrastructure and the technical and road equipment. The visiting delegation also expressed admiration for the quality of life in Morocco, the culture of the Moroccan people, their goodwill and generosity.
