“Al Massira Al Khadra” festival kicked off yesterday in the presence of acting director of Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, part of the “summer schools” program, running till August 20.
Organized by the Moroccan cultural center in Al Quds –Bayt Al Maghrib, in cooperation with the four associations and summer camps clubs that benefited this year from the “summer schools” program, held by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, in various neighborhoods of the city.
Children of summer camps in northern Al Quds and their families attended the festival, held in Bayt Hanina club. It featured leisure games, and juggling, in addition to music shows highly appreciated by the public.
The festival is set to move to other regions in southern and central Al Quds in order to help the professional artists whom the Agency involves continue their useful and constructive activity.
Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui and the group accompanying him, then, toured the Bayt Hanina Club squares, halls and stadiums and praised the managers’ commitment and efforts to host young people and the associations from Al Quds for various sport activities.
The “summer schools” program, held on the theme “Spreading the values of unity and solidarity”, embodies the role of schools in disseminating the values of unity and solidarity between Palestinian generations through the largest gathering of children, whether as regards the number of participants or supervisors.
The program features a large share of activities dedicated to education and training through a set of 90 thematic and specialized workshops in arts, music, drama, sports in addition to communication, environment education, advocacy techniques and aspects of Artificial Intelligence uses through the New Information and Communication Technology.
It also features a football tournament between summer schools, games for kids, music shows, a carnival and puppet shows with the participation of artists.
