Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency held on Monday in Skhirate, a celebration marking the 60th birthday of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, chairman of Al Quds Committee, in the presence of children from Al Quds participating in the 14th summer camp, titled this year “Al Massira Al Khadra” and also shared the festivities with the kids’ families in Al Quds through video-conference.
Speaking on this occasion, the acting director of Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, expressed congratulations to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, recalling the instructions given by the Sovereign to give care to the Palestinian young generations.
He also pointed out that the Agency is giving special importance to children, teenagers and young people, in accordance with these instructions, through its programs and projects designed to meet the special needs of this category.
Throughout the last four weeks, the Agency launched in Al Quds summer schools benefiting 3000 boys and girls to spread the values of unity and solidarity among the Palestinian generations through the largest gathering of the kind in Al Quds, both as regards the number of participants and the supervisors. The summer schools are part of the celebrations marking the Agency’s silver jubilee marking 25 years of action.
Echarkaoui also pointed out that the summer school program features a considerable part of leisure and another part of education and training with thematic specialized workshops in arts, music, drama, sports in addition to communication languages, environmental education, advocacy techniques and aspects of Artificial Intelligence use in communication with the new information and communication technologies.
“The Agency efforts will go on with you and thanks to you and your children, who are today present with us, are the safety valves for safeguarding and preserving the identity of Al Quds, as it has always been a religious and civilizational center, attracting the hearts of believers in the three celestial religions”, he said as he addressed families.
Echarkaoui also noted that the children taking part in “Al Massira Al Khadra” edition of the summer camps, together with their peers who participated in the various editions, will be the ambassadors of the kingdom of Morocco in Palestine and will convey the marks of love, magnanimity, loftiness and solidarity which will remain engrained in their minds all along their life.
Zinah Wicheha, a student from Al Quds took the floor to stress: “Al Quds children are grateful to witness the celebrations of the 60th birthday of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the wise and loved leader”.
Your Majesty, we witnessed during our visit the considerable progress made in your country, thanks to your orientations and vision. On this special occasion, we wish Your Majesty a happy birthday and a year full of happiness and victory, she said.
A father of one of the children, Nader Assalamia, expressed, through video conference, happiness to share with the Moroccan people the celebrations of this happy occasion, underlining Morocco’s outstanding status and central role in the Arab world.
On her part, Ghada Alian, the mother of another participant in the summer camp, expressed thanks and gratefulness to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and to the Moroccan people for the care given to the children of Al Quds.
Running until August 26, the 14th summer camp, « Al Massira Al Khadra” edition, is held, under the aegis of His Majesty King Mohammed VI –Chairman of Al Quds Committee, by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency in partnership with the Moroccan ministry of youth, sports and communications, for 50 boys and girls from Al Quds. It features a rich program of leisure and educational activities, in addition to sports and arts contests.
