Al Quds, Aug. 27, 2023
Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency held on Sunday in Al Quds a ceremony to welcome back Al Quds children who took part in the 14th summer camp, in the presence of their parents.
This year’s successful camp, titled “Al Massira Al Khadra”, culminated when Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa received the participants, upon orders of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al Quds Committee, may God grant him glory.
The camp, held by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency in partnership with the ministry of youth, culture and communications from August 10 to 26, under the aegis of His Majesty the King, featured a rich program combining leisure, education and culture.
In addition, the Agency organized arts and sports contest to help the young participants find out more about Morocco’s history, geography, authenticity and historical dimension.
The participants also exchanged visits with Moroccan kids taking part in the summer camps held at the “Diplomatic Park”, in Tangier.
This year, the program dedicated an important part of its activities to thematic workshops specialized in arts, music, drama and sports in addition to communication skills, environment education, advocacy training and the use of Artificial Intelligence through the New Information and Communications technologies.
During their ten day-stay in Tangiers, the children visited several arts and cultural landmarks in the city and reputed sites in the town of Mdiq, in addition to Cap Spartel, where the Atlas Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea converge, the Caves of Hercules and the natural caves of this mythical site.
In Tetuan, the camp participants toured the historic city, before heading to the Royal Golf in Mdiq where they received theoretical and practical lesson on this sport. While in Chefchaouen, the children stood in wonderment of the blue-daubed buildings and streets.
The summer camp, held annually by the Agency for 50 girls and boys from Al Quds, and the summer schools program also held by the Agency in Al Quds for 3,000 kids, embody the social and human dimension of the Agency’s actions, upon instructions of His Majesty the King, and the fruitful investment in the Palestinian young generations to give them hope in a better future.
Held under the aegis of HM the King, Chairman of Al Quds Committee, it also reflects the importance that HM the King grants to the holy city and its inhabitants.
This initiative comes to reinforce Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency’s actions meant to support the city of Al Quds Asharif and its inhabitants through several projects that yield clear and evident effects on the life of the Palestinians, especially women and persons with disabilities.
