Rabat – October 23, 2023
The cover of this edition features a photo of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasna, who, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the behest of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, received a group of Palestinian children from Al Quds participating in the 14th summer camp organized by the Agency from 10th to 26th August 2023.
In this context, the magazine emphasized that this summer camp, held under the auspices of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reflects the care and attention that His Majesty bestows upon the holy city of Al Quds and its inhabitants. The magazine also noted that the total number of children who have participated in all the summer camps, first initiated in 2008, has reached 700 beneficiaries from various areas of the city of Al Quds, accompanied by 70 supervisors. It was also mentioned that, on this occasion, the acting director of the Agency, Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, presented a book entitled “Chronology of Summer Camps in Morocco for Al Quds Children, 2008-2023,” along with a special booklet issued with this edition.
The publication also dedicated a significant portion to the speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on this year’s Throne Day. In the speech, His Majesty reiterated the firm stance of the Kingdom of Morocco on the Palestinian cause and provided comprehensive coverage of the Arab, Islamic, and international positions that applaud the role played by the Al Quds Committee in the realms of politics, diplomacy, and social development.
In its editorial titled “Palestinian Solidarity with Morocco,” “Echoes from Al Quds” highlighted various aspects of Palestinian solidarity with their Moroccan brethren in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck some Moroccan regions. It underscored that this solidarity embodies a “story rich in meanings and lessons” that reflect the mutual loyalty between the two brotherly peoples and signifies the strong historical bonds that have linked Morocco with the Levant for centuries.
The editorial also emphasized that the messages laden with sincere friendship and brotherly support expressed by personalities, institutions, and individuals in Palestine toward Morocco following this catastrophe represent another episode of the “epic of generous solidarity between two authentic peoples whenever one of them endures pain or hardship.”
The magazine equally stressed in its 25th editorial that under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, and in compliance with His Majesty’s high instructions, efforts were consolidated, and the programs and projects carried out by Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency were intensified through concrete and influential actions in the field. These efforts earned the Agency a generous commendation from HM the King, who addressed a message to the Agency’s director and staff, lauding the Agency’s role in reflecting a model of “strong and time-honored solidarity bonds” between Moroccans and Palestinians
