The Kingdom of Morocco has renewed its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in Al-Quds/Jerusalem through combining political and fieldwork, overseen by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, the executive body for the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In a statement during the Extraordinary Session of Islamic Conference of Information Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Istanbul on February 25, 2024, the Moroccan delegation stated that “the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has consistently made the defense of the legitimate Palestinian cause a fundamental principle in its foreign policy. Morocco will continue its diligent efforts to defend the sanctities, especially Al-Quds /Jerusalem, which His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, accords special regard”.
The Moroccan delegation emphasized that the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency is undertakes tangible plans and projects aimed at preserving the cultural identity of the Holy City, improving the social and living conditions of Palestinians, and supporting their resilience”.
Furthermore, the delegation highlighted that the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif “accords special attention to media aspects in its programs. This includes supporting the training of Palestinian journalists, providing scholarships for students in the field of media, and supporting Palestinian media institutions to enhance the resilience of the Palestinian people, amplify their voice, and convey their message to the world.”
