Jerusalem, March 8, 2024
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has honored 15 Jerusalemite women with the Agency’s silver shield in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the service of Jerusalem and its institutions
A certificate of honor was presented to candidates from various professional backgrounds, such as women entrepreneurs, university representatives, media professionals, association activists, and a representative from associations of people with disabilities and special needs.
In the certificate, the following message was inscribed: “By the grace and bounty of God, who has bestowed mercy upon the hearts of human beings and favored those chosen for virtuous deeds. They are hereby honored, God willing, for their outstanding contributions and remarkable qualities in the service of Jerusalem and its inhabitants.”
This coronation aims at enhancing the presence of Jerusalemite women in the Palestinian family and society. It also aims to encourage them to contribute further by placing them at the forefront of empowerment and social assistance programs. This includes participation in the Community Initiatives for Human Development program and engagement with the Agency’s “DLALA” platform for social and solidarity trade.
