Under the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, may God glorify him, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency launched on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Al-Quds/ Jerusalem a humanitarian aid operation in the courtyards of Augusta Hospital -Al-Mutala’ , in the presence of the director in charge of the current affairs management, Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, several religious authorities, Jerusalemite dignitaries and representatives of social institutions.
This operation falls within the framework of the sustained care provided by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the city of Al-Quds/Jerusalem and its inhabitants. This care has been manifest through the contributory role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, under the direct supervision of His Majesty the King , may God preserve him, for over a quarter of a century, in improving the social and economic conditions of the people of Al-Quds/Jerusalem and their institutions.
The humanitarian aid distributed was in the form of 2,000 Ramadan food baskets for 2,000 needy families, comprising 22 items of basic foodstuffs, as well as items for children and individuals on special diets.
The aid also includes 1000 daily food rations to ensure that beneficiaries registered on the lists of partner associations and residents of hospital centers and shelters secure a large part of their food needs throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
The Agency has taken into account that the food aid distribution management process comply with special guidelines, considering the
circumstances surrounding Al-Quds/Jerusalem, while strictly adhering to the health safety conditions of the material.
The map of the beneficiary groups of these food baskets and rations is distributed in Al-Quds/Jerusalem neighbourhoods, such as the Old City, Silwan, Sheikh Jarrah, Shuafat Camp, Thuri, Issawiya, Qalandia Camp and Al-Ram.
