Al-Quds, March 29, 2024 –
Today, Friday, March 29, 2024, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency concluded the distribution process of food baskets to more than 2,200 beneficiary families in Jerusalem.
This operation was conducted in alignment with the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, may God preserve him, to deliver humanitarian food aid to Palestinians in Jerusalem and Gaza, in conjunction with the sacred month of Ramadan.
City institutions, including the Jerusalem Governorate, the Department of Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs, and the Directorate of Education, were actively engaged in this operation.
The operation encompassed beneficiary families in the Old City and various neighborhoods, as well as villages in the outskirts of Jerusalem,
It also included healthcare institutions equipped with internal kitchens serving resident patients, such as Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital, the Augusta Victoria Hospital and Al-Hilal Hospital.
The Agency’s team in Jerusalem, however, continue to distribute daily food rations at a rate of 1000 food portions, targeting villages outside the wall, such as Biddu and Jidira, in addition to Qalandia Refugee Camp, Beit Hanina Al-Balad, and Al-Eizariya.
Meanwhile, visitors to Al-Aqsa Mosque benefited from food distribution operations during times when security conditions allowed.
The shelter center for the people of Gaza in Al-Eizariya, along with the residents of the orphanage and the elderly home, also benefited from the food rations.
