Today, the 4 th Session of the Simulation of the Children’s Islamic Summit for Jerusalem, organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, concluded at the headquarters of the Moroccan Kingdom Academy in Rabat.
The event , held under the slogan: ‘Towards Consolidating the Values of Dialogue and Coexistence,” was attended by Moroccan and Palestinian children, along with children of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and their counterparts from North America and Europe as observers.
On this occasion, Mohammed Salem Echarkaoui, the director in charge of the current affairs management of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency Asharif, stated that the Agency, through this conference and its programs and activities, ‘aims to promote the values of peace, dialogue, and coexistence.’
He also pointed out that this session’s primary objective is to foster opportunities for dialogue and discussion among different segments of Palestinian society through the exploration of diverse ideas and perspectives in order to instill hope in the hearts of future generations, despite the challenges and difficulties encountered.”
On his part, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Morocco, Jamal Shobaki, highlighted that this meeting provides a great opportunity to articulate the values of peace, coexistence, and the fight against hatred and violence.
He pointed out that this conference provides an important occasion for children to engage in research, knowledge acquisition, and the development of decision-making skills.
Shoubaki also commended the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, calling for solidarity with the Palestinian people, and lauding the historical and deep-rooted relations between the two countries.
On their part, the children participating in the summit simulation issued a concluding statement in which they called on the global conscience to protect innocent children everywhere, regardless of their nationalities, identities, origins, or affiliations, especially Palestinian children, who deserve to live just like other children around the world.”
The participating children at the conference also sent a message of gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, expressing their high appreciation for His Majesty’s continuous efforts in upholding the truth, supporting just humanitarian causes, foremost among them the Palestinian issue.”
The convening of the summit simulation conference in Rabat comes just days before the 15th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit in Banjul, the capital of The Gambia, scheduled to take place on May 4th-5th, 2024.
It is worth noting that the simulation conference witnessed the attendance of the Permanent Secretary of the Moroccan Kingdom Academy, Abdeljalil Al-Hajjamri, along with several ambassadors, academic and social figures, and children from several participating schools in Rabat.
