Rabat, May 19, 2024
The cultural program of the Beit Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency (BMAQ) wrapped up its events at the 29th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat, revealing a significant turnout exceeding 40,000 visitors across different age groups.
Since the first day of the fair’s opening, visitors have flocked to the Agency’s pavilion, reflecting the interest in the organization and its activities among different segments of the Moroccan population.
In addition to its prominent location within a 90-square-meter area in the institutional halls, the Agency’s pavilion, named “The Pavilion of the Honorable Dome of the Rock,” stood out for its architectural splendor, blending distinctive Moroccan engineering with authentic Palestinian architecture in a harmonious artistic fusion and exquisite architectural coherence.
The large interactive screen and various exhibits within the Agency’s pavilion, such as photographs, prints, brochures, artifacts, and illustrative models, greatly piqued visitors’ interest. These elements also facilitated interaction with visitors, addressing their inquiries and offering information and data about the Agency’s role, projects, and accomplishments.
Throughout the entirety of the fair, spanning from May 9th to May 19th, 2024, the pavilion warmly received visitors from all walks of life. This audience comprised representatives from official institutions, schoolchildren, university and specialized institute students, as well as dignitaries, researchers, and enthusiasts.
The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication supports BMAQ’s participation in book fairs by providing complimentary fair space and hosting Agency guests involved in the cultural and artistic programming of the pavilion.
Additionally, the Agency’s pavilion commemorated the 76th anniversary of the Nakba in collaboration with the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Morocco on May 15th, 2024. The event was attended by students from Palestinian schools in Jerusalem.
Furthermore, the Agency organized a specialized seminar on Palestinian archaeological architecture with the participation of Moroccan and Palestinian engineers, architects and experts, and announced the results of the fifth edition of the “Colors of Al-Quds” competition for the academic year 2023-2024.
