The director in charge of the current affairs management of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui stated today in Marrakech that BMAQ’s pavilion at the “GITEX Africa 2024” exhibition has enabled project holders from Palestine and Morocco to interact with global digital markets.
Mr. Echarkaoui, in a statement to the Moroccan News Agency (MAP) on the sidelines of the second edition of “GITEX Africa 2024,” underscored that the pavilion of BMAQ, alongside its affiliated business incubator, the “BMAQ Innovation Hub,” has bolstered continuous interactions between Moroccans and Palestinians. He further emphasized the exhibitors’ involvement in global digital markets.
In this context, he added that the “GITEX” exhibition provided an opportunity for five project holders from Jerusalem to compete with over 200 Moroccan, African, and global startups.
He stressed that this experience would assist Palestinian startups in “breaking through both natural and virtual barriers, promoting inspiring and innovative ideas that have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of youth, as well as in their surroundings and communities.”
On her part, Linda Maher, the founder of the “SAYYAD” project from Palestine, stated that participating in the “GITEX” exhibition with the support and sponsorship of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency presents a favorable opportunity to showcase a range of innovative Palestinian youth projects, opening promising avenues for foreign investment.
In turn, Sakina Marzouk, the founder of the emerging Moroccan enterprise “Boukizone,” affirmed that the training provided by BMAQ’s pavilion regarding the development of startups is instrumental in enhancing opportunities to access Moroccan and foreign investment platforms.
