The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) has released a special edition of the periodical (Echoes from Al-Quds Committee), highlighting the achievements of the Al-Quds Committee under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI over the past 25 years in service of Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause.
This special edition, released in commemoration of the glorious Throne Day, recaptures the features and images of the Kingdom’s principled and steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people. It is based on the values of truth, justice, and peace, which Moroccans uphold and which are embodied in the initiatives of the Al-Quds Committee under the practical and realistic leadership of His Majesty the King. This approach combines political and diplomatic support with social and field assistance.
The contents of this 71-page edition are divided into sections and topics covering the founding and evolution of the Al-Quds Committee, its working mechanisms, roles, achievements, and aspirations. It also includes testimonials from national and international figures about the Al-Quds Committee. Notable contributors include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita; the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha; the Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia, Atallah Hanna; the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs in the Palestinian government, Ashraf Al-Awar; and the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Salim Bin Mohammed Al-Malik.
This edition also includes topics such as “Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency Projects and Achievements.. 25 Years of Dedication in Service of Jerusalem and Its People,” “Great Palestinian Appreciation for the Positions of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee,” “The Speeches of His Majesty the King and the Reports of the Al-Quds Committee Reflect Values of Seriousness and Commitment,” and “Communiqués and Resolutions of the Islamic Summit Conferences underline Al-Quds Committee’s Key Role in Defending the City and Preserving its Religious and Civilizational Legacy.”
In the editorial of this edition, Mohammed Salem Echarkaoui, the director in charge of the management of the BMAQ Agency, wrote, “The 25th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God grant him glory, at a time when our country is witnessing a confirmed leap forward. The Moroccan people are extremely humbled by this great development progress, not because it upgraded Morocco on the development scale but because it confirmed the civilizational standing of the honorable monarchy, a country of authentic institutions, strong by its history, glories and the diversity of its tributaries.”
Echarkaoui added in this editorial, titled “His Majesty King Mohammed VI: Symbol of Justice, Coexistence, and Peace,” that in line with the duties of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the faithful, chairman of Al-Quds Committee, in preserving the holy city, as a universal civilizational center, dear to the heart of all the believers in the three celestial religions, His Majesty has always been keen to propose ideas and initiatives to open the doors of dialogue, consolidate peace opportunities and reject violence.
Echarkaoui emphasized that, based on this steadfast commitment, the issue of Jerusalem remains present on top of His Majesty’s concerns “until our Palestinian brothers achieve their aspirations to a viable independent state, with legitimate institutions chosen by this mature people.”
