Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al-Awar, emphasized today in Tunis that the BMAQ Agency’s interventions and initiatives over nearly 25 years have made a “substantial impact” on the Holy City.
In a press statement during the “State of Children’s Education in Al-Quds” conference at the Arab League , Educational , Cultural and Scientific Organization’s headquarters, the Palestinian Minister highlighted that the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency Asharif (BMAQ) has made a “substantial impact” on the education and health sectors in Al-Quds.
In the education sector, which is the focus of the conference, the Palestinian Minister called on other countries to follow Morocco’s example through the BMAQ Agency. Under the guidance of HM King Mohammed VI, the Agency acquires properties to establish new schools and upgrade existing ones. The Minister highlighted that such efforts are crucial for ensuring the ongoing delivery of education to Palestinian students in Al-Quds, according to the Palestinian curriculum.
In a similar statement, Samir Jibril, the Director of Education in Al-Quds, emphasized that the “outstanding initiatives” of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency have made a significant difference in the educational sector of the Holy City. These initiatives encompass acquiring properties to be transformed into schools, constructing new educational facilities, expanding classroom space, and preserving the existing schools through the “Beautiful Schools” program.
The Palestinian official also praised the activities organized by the BMAQ Agency for the benefit of Jerusalemite students, under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, including summer camps in Morocco.
