The Popular National Conference for Jerusalem (PNCJ) praises Morocco’s steadfast support under HM King Mohammed VI’s leadership in defending Al-Quds and the Palestinian Cause.
During a meeting held at the headquarters of the Casablanca-Settat region on the occasion of a visit by a Palestinian delegation to Morocco, Bilal Al-Natsheh , Secretary-General of the conference, commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leafership of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in defending the Palestinian cause through political and diplomatic efforts, as well as on-the-ground humanitarian work.
In a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press Agency (MAP), Al-Natsheh expressed deep gratitude for the principled and unwavering solidarity of Moroccans with their Palestinian brothers.
In turn, Hatem Abd Al-Qader, Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Commission for the Support of Jerusalem and its Holy Sites and former Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, expressed the deep appreciation and respect of the Palestinian people for Morocco—its King, government, and people—for the support provided to the Palestinian cause and the assistance extended to Jerusalem through the Al-Quds Committee and its affiliated Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ).
He highlighted several vital projects imlemented by the Agency across various sectors, including economic, social, educational, health, and cultural fields.
He also emphasized the deep historical roots connecting Morocco and Palestine, dating back to the conquest of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque by Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi.
In this context, he praised the role of Moroccans in protecting Jerusalem, noting that many Palestinian families of Moroccan descent still reside in this sacred city today.
Mr. Abd Al-Qader expressed his profound appreciation for the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people in supporting the Palestinian cause.
He referred to the projects overseen by the BMAQ Agency, which aim to support hospitals and schools in the holy city, particularly in light of the difficult circumstances faced by the Palestinian people.
He emphasized that Morocco’s efforts are unprecedented, noting that the Moroccan support for Jerusalem serves as a model to be emulated.
The meeting was attended, in addition to the Palestinian delegation, by Mohamed Salem Esharkaoui, Director in charge of managing BMAQ , and Abdellatif Maazouz, President of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council.
It is noteworthy that the program of this visit, organized by BMAQ from October 21 to 28, includes a series of meetings in Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, and Casablanca.
