Today, Monday, in Rabat, His Excellency President Emmanuel Macron of France commended the impactful role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, may God protect him, in fostering peace in the Middle East.
A statement from the Royal Cabinet, issued on the occasion of the French President’s state visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, which continues until next Wednesday, noted that the leaders of both countries called for an immediate halt to the attacks in Gaza and Lebanon.
Following their discussions at the Royal Palace in Rabat, the leaders of both countries underscored the urgent need to protect civilian populations and to secure and facilitate access to humanitarian aid. They also stressed the importance of de-escalating the situation across the region.
His Majesty the King and the French President seized this occasion to stress the pressing need to reinvigorate the peace process, grounded in a two-state solution that establishes an independent Palestinian state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital..
The statement highlighted that discussions between the leaders focused on advancing Morocco-France relations into a new phase, within the framework a renewed exceptional partnership and a strategic roadmap for the years ahead.
