Mohamed Salem Echerkaoui, the Director running the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), stated that Morocco’s dynamic support for Al-Quds and Palestine continues despite the challenging conditions surrounding the city and the entire region, thanks to the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI , Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
In his address during a dialogue session on “Media Support for the Palestinian Cause,” held by the National Council of the Moroccan Federation of Newspaper Publishers (FMEJ) on Saturday in Rabat as part of the Council’s third session, Echerkaoui reaffirmed that Morocco remains steadfast in fulfilling its commitments toward its Palestinian brothers and sisters.
Echerkaoui also highlighted BMAQ’s significant achievements in Al-Quds over the past 25 years, spanning essential sectors such as health, education, youth, infrastructure, social support, human development, as well as digitization, renewal, and innovation projects. These efforts include 200 major projects and hundreds of medium and small-scale initiatives, totaling over $70 million, primarily funded by Moroccan governmental and public contributions.
During the FMEJ meeting, Moroccan newspaper publishers issued a statement praising Morocco’s role, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian cause on both humanitarian and political levels. They commended the initiatives, efforts, and dynamic work of the BMAQ Agency in the Holy City.
