Rabat – January 22, 2025
A Yemeni student delegation, visiting Rabat today, was introduced to the efforts of the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by HM Mohammed VI, in serving the holy city of Jerusalem and its residents during a visit to the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency(BMAQ).
This visit, attended by Mr. Ezzedine Al-Asbahi, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Morocco, and several embassy staff members, aimed to familiarize the 35 students with the activities of Moroccan institutions across various sectors.
The delegation was introduced to social and humanitarian programs undertaken by BMAQ، aimed at preserving Jerusalem’s religious and cultural heritage while supporting its residents through empowerment initiatives targeting various social groups.
On this occasion, the Yemeni ambassador praised the foundational work of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, who ensures a tangible Moroccan presence on Palestinian soil. This is exemplified by the Moroccan Cultural Center – Bayt Al-Maghreb, situated in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City, a project that embodies impactful support and serves as a model to follow.
The ambassador underscored the deep historical ties between Moroccans, Jerusalem, and Palestine. He encouraged Yemeni students to draw inspiration from this rich heritage and integrate it into their vision for contributing to the development of a stable and modern Yemen.
