He also conveyed his aspirations for its growth and further expansion..
The Palestinian official commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in defending the Palestinian cause and the social assistance provided by the Agency for the benefit of Palestinians..
For his part, Mr. Echarkaoui emphasized that the Jerusalem Governorate is a strategic partner of the BMAQ recalling that the partnership and cooperation program between the Agency and the governorate encompasses funding small, income-generating projects for the benefit of 60 needy families as part of the Community Initiatives for Human Development program in Jerusalem.
He further stated that the program also finances the annual olive harvest campaign, benefiting 1,800 farmers each year across 28 villages in the Jerusalem Governorate. This initiative provides essential equipment to streamline and accelerate the harvesting process, including mechanical harvesters, ladders, tarps, combs, protective vests, and other necessary tools. Additionally, the program supports the annual ceremony honoring top-performing students in the General Secondary Education Examination in the Jerusalem Governorate, which last year recognized 45 students from various academic disciplines.
He pointed out that the program designates a substantial portion of social support during Ramadan for targeted families in various villages across Jerusalem, with the governorate overseeing its fair distribution. This assistance is particularly directed toward social institutions, including orphanages and elderly care homes, as well as takiyas spread throughout Jerusalem’s villages and refugee camps.
He affirmed: “At Bay Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency , we are dedicated to upholding the legacy of Moroccans, in accordance with the high directives of HM King Mohammed VI, by serving Jerusalem and its resilient inhabitants, honoring this noble historical heritage with unwavering commitment.”
