In accordance with the directives of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Following the directives of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to ensure the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) continues its unwavering support for Jerusalem and its institutions, the Agency officially launched the “Iftar Ramadan” initiative today, Saturday, March 1, 2025, from Nabi Samwil Village, on the outskirts of Jerusalem. This initiative, part of the 1446 Hijri Ramadan campaign, aims to deliver vital assistance to underprivileged families in Jerusalem, reinforcing the Agency’s commitment to social solidarity during the holy month..
This initiative, which will continue throughout the holy month of Ramadan, includes the distribution of food baskets benefiting 3,000 Palestinian families in Jerusalem, as well as the provision of thousands of hot Iftar meals for families and individuals in need, including those affiliated with social and charitable institutions and worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
As part of this effort, BMAQ also launched a daily food distribution program today in Al-Jadeera village, aimed at assisting vulnerable groups during Ramadan, including displaced families from Gaza. The launch was attended by Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, the director in charge of managing the Agency, and Mohamed Jamal Bouzidi, President of the Moroccan Association for Reconstruction Support in Palestine.
As in previous years, the selection of beneficiaries for this initiative was carried out by social specialists based on specific criteria, under the supervision of the Agency’s Program and Project Coordination Office in the Holy City. Special attention was given to ensuring fair and equitable distribution of aid across all neighborhoods, refugee camps, and villages in Jerusalem.
This solidarity-driven initiative, attended by Moroccan dignitaries, religious and social figures from Jerusalem, and representatives of beneficiary institutions, is part of the BMAQ’s social support program during the holy month of Ramadan, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to assisting vulnerable communities.
