Jerusalem – The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) presented the results of its 2025 Ramadan humanitarian aid campaign yesterday, Thursday, in Jerusalem (Al-Quds). The announcement, held in conjunction with the blessed Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), took place during an Iftar gathering attended by notable Jerusalemite personalities, along with religious scholars, academic leaders, and representatives of social organizations and institutions that benefited from this year’s aid efforts.
BMAQ announced that, as part of this year’s humanitarian efforts, it distributed more than 1,500 food baskets to families in need and approximately 3,000 individual meal portions. These distributions reached Al-Aqsa Mosque, a number of social centers, and community kitchens. In addition, the Agency provided 200 Eid clothing packages for orphans under its sponsorship.
The Palestinian figures in attendance expressed their deep appreciation for what they described as a significant and unifying occasion, bringing together diverse segments of Palestinian society in Al-Quds around an Iftar table. They highlighted the event as a fitting culmination of the Ramadan initiative, held in spiritual alignment with the observance of the blessed Night of Decree.”
In this context, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories, expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco and to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for His Majesty’s ongoing support of Jerusalem’s institutions, both during Ramadan and throughout the year. He stressed that Jerusalem and its people remain in urgent need of sustained efforts, and called for these initiatives to be reinforced and expanded in the future.
