The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed today in Jeddah the Organization’s profound gratitude and appreciation to HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for his unwavering commitment and continued support for the Holy City and its inhabitants.
During his meeting with the Director of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, the OIC Secretary-General commended the vital role of the Al-Quds Committee in embodying the spirit of Islamic solidarity and joint support for Jerusalem, in safeguarding its Arab identity, and in reinforcing the resilience and dignity of its residents.
For his part, BMAQ’s Director briefed the Secretary-General on the social and humanitarian assistance efforts being carried out in the Holy City, highlighting the Agency’s latest humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting children in Gaza—particularly orphans and those who have lost limbs—as part of its efforts to alleviate the suffering caused by the ongoing war on the Strip.
