The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) launched the “Awna” campaign for the 2024 olive harvest in the Al-Ram district of Al-Quds. The initiative involved distributing tools and equipment to 1,500 beneficiary farmers. The distribution was overseen by the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem , Abdullah Siam, and the Agency’s Program and Projects Coordinator in Al-Quds, Ismail Ramli, in the presence of several heads of local and village councils.
The support is being distributed proportionally across 30 villages and towns in the governorate, particularly focusing on the village of “Khirbat Umm al-Lahm” in the northwest of Al-Quds, the village of “Mukhmas” in the center of the governorate, and the “Wadi al-Hawd” area in the lands of al-Eizariya. These areas have suffered more severe attacks this year compared to others.
On this occasion, Deputy Governor Abdullah Siam expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for his continuous and unwavering support for Al-Quds and the Palestinian cause.
The Deputy Governor also praised the efforts of the BMAQ Agency and its ongoing support for Al-Quds and its people in various fields. He especially commended its generous sponsorship of this initiative, which helps alleviate the hardships of the farmers and enables them to complete their harvest with minimal effort and time.
For his part, the coordinator of the Agency’s programs and projects in Al-Quds, Ismail Ramli, stated that the Agency’s support for this event comes as part of its ongoing social work in Al-Quds, under the directives of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and its efforts to support Palestinians across all sectors and social groups.
