Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency held in Al Quds on Saturday a technical workshop to develop the structure of the “alertness, coordination and follow-up cell” for emergencies and crises, in the presence of delegates from the network of hospitals in Eastern Al Quds, in anticipation of the increased human density flowing to the city during the blessed month of Ramadan.
At the opening session, the managing director of Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, stressed that the field action, conducted by the Agency, under the personal supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al Quds Committee, seeks to support the city of Al Quds with concrete social and development projects for all the categories of Al Quds society.
Mr. Cherkaoui stressed, in a speech read out on his behalf by the coordinator of the Agency programs and projects in Al Quds, the importance given to the health sector in the Agency’s project, recalling the successful visit to Morocco by a delegation of Eastern Al Quds hospitals and the common concern to tap on this visit to serve in the best way Al Quds and its resistant population.
The workshop set up an administrative structure for the alertness, coordination and follow up cases cell comprising medical managers of the six strategic hospitals in Al Quds, after conducting an assessment of the special resources and needs during emergency cases.
The participants underlined the need to develop the skills of the various rescue teams and coordination between them and the hospitals, in addition to identifying the needs so that the cell can start operating.
They also stressed the need to set up a field hospital in the old city in Al Quds to support and provide the first aid care to patients before they are transferred to hospitals, drawing on the Kingdom of Morocco’s experience which the Al Quds hospitals delegation had the opportunity to witness during their visit to Morocco between February 20 and 27, 2023.
