Al-Quds – Palestinian religious, academic, and community figures praised the significant humanitarian operation carried out in conjunction with the month of Ramadan by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) , under the direction of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, may God protect him.
During the closing ceremony of this humanitarian operation, initiated by the BMAQ Agency under the guidance of His Majesty the King, esteemed figures, including Jerusalemite authorities, Islamic and Christian religious leaders, expressed their appreciation in statements to the press.
They commended His Majesty the King’s steadfast efforts in supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites, as well as the initiatives undertaken by the Agency.
In this regard, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, affirmed that the BMAQ Agency is undertaking significant and monumental work in Jerusalem, impacting all facets of life and contributing to the resilience of the Palestinian people, while preserving the identity and authenticity of the Holy City.
His Eminence noted that these humanitarian aids have profoundly impacted the souls of Palestinians and contributed to alleviating their suffering, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
He highly praised His Majesty the King Mohammed VI’s continuous commitment to addressing the needs of Palestinians in times of hardship and adversity.
He also expressed his anticipation for the BMAQ Agency’s continuation of the noble humanitarian work under the supervision of His Majesty the King, foreseeing further successes and initiatives that would bolster the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and all Palestinian territories.
On his part, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, the head of the Greek Orthodox Archbishopric of Sebastia, expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to the BMAQ Agency for its notable humanitarian efforts in supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites and standing by their side.
He stated that these initiatives embody profound meanings of brotherhood , unity, and convergence for Palestinian Christians and Muslims, particularly during such occasions and sacred celebrations.
In turn, Abdullah Sayyam, the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, affirmed that the field presence of the BMAQ Agency epitomizes Morocco’s unwavering commitment to standing by the Palestinians in their times of hardship.
On her part , Safaa Nasr al-Din, the Secretary-General of the Presidency at Al-Quds University, commended the efforts exerted by His Majesty the King in supporting the Palestinian cause and standing by the resilience of Jerusalemites.
She added that on the occasion of the holy month, the BMAQ Agency organized iftar meals and events to commemorate the blessed nights of Ramadan in the city of Jerusalem.
Dr. Omar Abu Zaidah, the General Manager of Al-Makassed Hospital, expressed gratitude on behalf of all healthcare institutions in Jerusalem to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for this noble gesture, coinciding with the holy month of fasting, and for His Majesty’s consistent and continuous support on all occasions.
It is worth noting that the humanitarian operation launched by the BMAQ Agency concluded last night with a large iftar event was attended by a distinguished gathering of Jerusalemite figures, Islamic and Christian religious authorities, led by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, the Director of the Islamic Waqf and Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Deputy Governor of the city, and several representatives from institutions and civil associations.
During this significant operation, over 2200 food baskets were distributed in two phases, targeting three main hospitals in Jerusalem and approximately 3000 families from Jerusalem, distributed across all neighborhoods and camps, including isolated districts belonging to the governorate outside the wall. Additionally, more than 30,000 food portions were distributed, averaging 1000 food portions daily throughout the blessed month.
