Banjul, May 2, 2024
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, operating under the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, inaugurated a series of exhibitions on Thursday, May 2, 2024, in Banjul, the capital of the Republic of Gambia. These exhibitions are held on the sidelines of the fifteenth session of the Islamic Summit.
The agency’s exhibitions feature a diverse array of products of Palestinian origin, including local goods, handicrafts, jewelry, and embroideries that embody the Jerusalemite and Palestinian identity. These exhibits are part of the “Investment Days Forum,” organized by the Islamic Center for the Development of Trade of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and run from May 2 to 3. An exhibition titled “The Olive of Peace” showcases products derived from olive trees.
Parallel to the summit, which continues until May 5, the agency is displaying its achievements in Jerusalem through paintings and photographs that highlight its programs, projects, and humanitarian and social interventions in the Holy City. The exhibits also feature products from associations and institutions funded under the agency’s “Civil Initiatives for Human Development” program.
The agency will showcase archival photos from previous sessions of the Al-Quds Committee and distribute various reports, including the 2023 achievement report, a summary of the agency’s silver jubilee celebration under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and a video report on the humanitarian aid operation ordered by His Majesty for Palestinians in Jerusalem and Gaza during last Ramadan.
