Rabat, April 22, 2024
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency will host the fourth session simulating the Islamic Childhood Summit for Jerusalem in Rabat on Wednesday and Thursday, under the theme: “To Consolidate the Values of Dialogue and Coexistence.”
Children from Morocco and Palestine, along with those from various member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will participate in this summit simulation. This event precedes the 15th session of the OIC, scheduled for May 4 and 5, 2024, in Banjul, Gambia. The children will discuss topics related to the summit’s theme, with Western children participating as observers.
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee of the OIC, focuses on engaging youth in meaningful discussions and projects that benefit Palestinian children in Jerusalem. This simulation is part of the agency’s annual program and aligns with its mission.
Each year, the agency organizes the International Childhood Summit for Jerusalem simulation as part of the Children for Jerusalem Club activities. This educational and interactive event brings together schoolchildren aged 10 to 15 from various nationalities to discuss and exchange ideas on topics of interest to them.
As a social and humanitarian institution, the agency is dedicated to promoting dialogue, coexistence, and the rejection of violence and hatred. These values are reflected in the chosen theme for this year’s session and its predecessors.
The simulation begins with familiarization workshops where participants exchange information and knowledge about peace, security, and coexistence. The event concludes with a final statement summarizing the participants’ outcomes based on their discussions and perspectives.
