Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakheet, Assistant Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)for Humanitarian, Cultural, Social, and Family Affairs, today in Rabat, commended the work of the Al-Quds Committee under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, in preserving the cultural identity of the Holy City, in line with the resolutions issued by the Islamic Summit and the Council of Foreign Ministers.
Ambassador Bakheet also praised during his visit at the head of an important delegation from the Organization to the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), the role played by the Agency, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee under the OIC,in preserving the cultural heritage of the Holy City and supporting its steadfast Palestinian residents, in accordance with the relevant resolutions.
The OIC Assistant Secretary-General also emphasized the importance of mobilizing support for the BMAQ Agency to enable it to continue its mission, highlighting that supporting the Agency has become a pivotal and essential issue in addressing the daily challenges faced by the Palestinian people.
