Rabat July 27, 2024
Today, Saturday, at the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee, in Rabat, the permanent exhibition of the Al-Quds Committee was inaugurated. This event coincides with the silver anniversary of the Throne Day celebrations.
The contents of the permanent exhibition included a Moroccan corner and a Palestinian corner. The exhibition spaces featured three photo galleries documenting the historical milestones of the Al-Quds Committee and the achievements of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency. Additionally, there were photos commemorating the historic visit of the late King Mohammed V to Jordan, Palestine, and Jerusalem in 1960.
The exhibition also featured royal letters to the Agency’s administration, as well as important documents and artifacts contributed to the Agency by national administrations, institutions, and individuals to enrich the exhibition’s contents.
In a speech on the occasion, Dr. Mohammed Salem Echarkaoui, the director in charge of managing the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, stated that the Agency’s work continues under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, may God protect him. The methodology draws its spirit from the wisdom of His Majesty and his insightful vision, which is based on seriousness, realism, and a commitment to continuing efforts until the objectives are achieved, far from slogans and futile rhetoric.
Echarkaoui reminded that Morocco was the “first to deliver humanitarian aid by land to Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan, which also included assistance to Jerusalem. This was followed by the medical aid delivered to hospitals in the Gaza Strip last June, all under the gracious directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him.”
On this occasion, Ambassador Moulay Mehdi Alaoui, the diplomatic advisor to the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, was honored, and a commemorative shield was presented to his family. This recognition was in appreciation of his notable roles in political and diplomatic efforts in service to his country and his contribution to enhancing the Agency’s prominence in Islamic, bilateral, and multilateral activities, as well as his efforts in ensuring the organization’s leading position among organizations supporting Jerusalem.
The inauguration of the exhibition was attended by the High Commissioner for former members of the Resistance and Liberation Army, Dr. Mustapha El Ktiri, along with several ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco, representatives of international organizations, and the custodians of Moroccan endowments in Jerusalem, Jamal Al Moghrabi and Ahmad Abu Salem. Numerous other invitees also attended the event. Following the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees toured the exhibition wings and watched a short video highlighting the activities and achievements of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency over the past 25 years.
