The Arab Ministerial Committee for International Action against Illegal Israeli Policies and Measures in Occupied Al-Quds praised, on Wednesday march the 9th, 2022 in Cairo, HM King Mohammed VI’s efforts as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee for the defense of the holy city.
The committee, which met before the start of the Arab League Council’s 157th ordinary session held at the level of foreign ministers, welcomed the efforts of the Sovereign to support the Palestinian people’s resistance, praising Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency’s great role as the operational arm of the Al-Quds Committee.
During this Arab Ministerial Committee’s meeting, Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi reviewed efforts to protect the rights of Sheikh Jarrah residents, and to provide all possible support to residents in the occupied Eastern Al-Quds to assert their rights in their homes.
The committee also heard a presentation by the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, in which he briefed the ministerial committee on the Israeli settlement plans to Judaize the Holy City, demolish several homes, force the displacement of the city’s residents, and increase the number of extremist religious settlers in Al-Quds.
The committee’s member ministers stressed the importance of continuing joint action to confront illegal Israeli policies that violate international law and undermine the foundations of peace, emphasizing the need to preserve the historical and legal status of Al-Quds and the city’s Islamic and Christian holy sites and to reject all practices aimed at undermining this status.
